Kosher Casual is an e-commerce website selling modest clothes for young people, mainly women and kids.
The concept of Kosher Casual is to show modest clothes don't have to be boring. It is possible to dress practical and still be fashionable, as their slogan says.
Color played a very important rol in this project. The client, designer worked together to find a color combination that would reflect a fresh, young and full of life spirit. Through color we transmit the message that simple clothes can also be fun.
In the homepage we integrated three different slogans in three different ways still they integrate nicely, again, playing with the fun concept of fun in harmony.
The most important elements of this site are the images, therefore we placed the text in gray. As we understand someone might prefer a stronger contrast to read it, then we assume they will move the mouse trying to find a link. Once the mouse moves over the text, this turns into a high contrast image.
The programmer made an excellent suggestion for the solution of the additional shopping logos. To make them clear and attractive without having them take over half of the site, we created a rotating animation of logos which displays them all.
The menus have being created in a modular way, in case the client wishes to extend the amount of menus, we can do it without a problem by dividing the actual grid into the needed spaces.
This is an example of a well designed, practical, attractive, fresh, young and fun site.
